"Rejoicing in His Love" // The Wedding - 4/9/15

 Andy & Cryslyn

4/9/15

Through the years a young girl prays for her husband to be,
She prays that God will reveal Himself, and set His spirit free.

To love, believe, and walk with God, His Spirit to obey,
She asks that Truth will be his guide and keep him for her someday.

Now she's rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above,
The one for whom she's prayed and dreamed is here for her to love.

She knows now who God's given to her, that she might understand,
The love of Christ for His own bride -- she's rejoicing in God's plan.

At the same time a young man asks that God will give to him a wife;
A woman pure, who loves the Lord, a friendship made for life.

He hopes that she will love God's Word and often that she'll pray;
For Jesus Christ to be her life and then turn her heart his way.

Now he's rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above.
The one for whom he's prayed and dreamed is here for him to love.

He knows now who God's given to him, that he might understand,
The love of Christ for His own bride -- he's rejoicing in God's plan.

Today they come to unite their hearts as one in Jesus' name;
They'll give their hearts, their lives, their love; a ring to seal the same.

What once was two shall become one, that the world might see again,
A testimony of the love of Christ between a woman and a man.

Now they're rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above,
The ones for whom they've prayed and dreamed are here for them to love.

They know now who God's given to them, that they might understand,
The love of Christ for His own bride -- they're rejoicing in God's plan.

Engagement Photos + Our Love Story

Hello dear readers,

Well . . . the day is finally approaching.
In just over 24 hours I will be marrying the man of my dreams.

This day has been long-awaited and I am so very thankful to God that it's finally happening, and with the most amazing man that I could have ever asked for.

My life changed 8 months ago when I met Andy Joe Faulkner.

We both had attended a Civil War Ball event and happened to meet each other there when his group of friends and mine ended up being dance partners.

We were both very shy at first, but it didn't take long before the sparks flew.

We danced and talked, and danced and talked some more.

Conversation flourished and each thing I learned about him intrigued me even more.  By the end of the night, I knew that he would always be someone special in my life.

The months after that first meeting we saw each other occasionally.  He had college classes and a full time job, and I, at that time, worked a full time job as well.

But we always managed to fit in some time to see each other during the week.  Even if we could only see each other for a couple hours a day, we were happy.  Our personalities connected and we realized that we made a great team.  I was deeply attracted to him and my family loved him.

Andy's knowledge and understanding of God and the world impressed me.  And his amiable and colloquial characteristics made an even bigger impact on how hard I fell for him. ;-)

Before long, Andy asked me out.  I, of course, said yes!

Our dates consisted of sweet moonlight walks, movie and coffee dates, dinners at restaurants, bible studies, exciting adventures, road trips, visiting rustic towns, attending more dances, spending the holidays together, and the occasional baking or cooking date.

We had a very romantic courtship, and I enjoyed every second of our time spent together.  We made a great team, and we both realized that fairly early in our courtship.  Each day our love grew stronger and before long, I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

On December 20, 2014, at a Masquerade Ball, he asked me to be his wife on stage in front of the observing crowd.

I said "Oh my gosh, yes!"
And now, as I write this, I am preparing to marry the man of my life in just over 24 hours!

I have no doubt that our marriage will be romantic and rewarding.  Yes, there will be trials.  I am aware of that.  But we know how to keep that spark alive and I can be assured that Andy will always be the charming, loving man that I met at that ball 8 months ago.

We have so much to be thankful to God for.  He brought two hearts together and created a love so wonderful . . . so beautiful.
We are continually growing together in our faith and love everyday, and I am ever so thankful for this journey we have embarked upon together.

It can only get better from here, folks.

"I have found the one whom my soul loves."
Song of Solomon 3:4

Please keep us in your prayers as we enter this new chapter of life together. :)

(I will post details and photos from our wedding in the nearby future!)

The 777 Challenge

I discovered this delightful little tag on a fellow blogger's page, so, I decided to tag myself just for the fun of it . . . *wink wink*

. . . here are the rules:

- go to the seventh page of your current writing project
- scroll down to the seventh line
- share the next seven lines in a blog post
- then, tag seven other writers

I'm going to pass on tagging people today, but please, do feel free to tag yourselves. ;-)

Anyway, here is a snippet from The Lady of Derbyshire.

“I presume he is taking Mr. Claridge alongside him then?” She questioned further.

“Of that I am uncertain. He spoke nothing of the subject, but I do know he is associated with the Claridge family. Possibly a business agreement. That is my supposition of the situation.”

Diane thought it seemed odd, but surely she didn’t know enough about either of the men to determine rather it was peculiar or not. “Well, I think it is time for us to return home now. Mama and Papa will be expecting us before long, don’t you think?”

   “Yes, I think so.”

Have a lovely day everyone!

eShakti Dress Review

A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from one of eShakti's executives offering a free dress or skirt of my choice in exchange for a review.  So, after glancing at a few of their products and then reading my blogging friend's reviews of their eShakti orders (here, and, here), I decided to give it a try.  After all, who doesn't love a good clothing deal!?
eShakti had sooooo many gorgeous garments to choose from, but after going back and forth between two lovely dresses, I finally decided on this one:

Needless to say, I just ADORE my darling little dress!

The color is lovely, the material is splendidly comfortable, and the overall fitting is superb!  I couldn't have asked for a better product!

The delicate embroidery adds a sweet and soft touch to the dress.

I am very pleased with my eShakti order and would definitely recommend this wonderful website to anyone in search of a cute garment for casual or formal wear!

And for those of you who would like a discount on your eShakti order, here is a promotional code offering 10% off all orders, valid until April 30th!
